Place a small wooden
box down on the table. A spectator freely chooses any card without looking at
it or showing it to anyone. He signs the back of the card and replaces it in the
deck.
You write something on a slip of paper, fold it, and place it down on the table.
ôPlease cut the deck.ö you instruct him. ôNo one could have foreseen the current
position of your card, right? Please read my prediction.ö The prediction tells
him how many cards to deal to arrive at his signed card!
ôYou' re probably wondering about the small box I placed down earlier. There' s
another prediction inside.ö A folded paper is removed from the box with the name
of a playing card written on it. The signed card is turned over for the first
time - it matches the prediction!
